Stochastic Analysis of Elastically Supported FGM Plates Having Varied Plate Thickness Ratio and Aspect Ratio with Elliptical Cutouts in Thermal Environments

Abstract

Computational analysis of elastically supported FGM (Functionally Graded Materials) plates in thermal environments is carried out. The basic research is done for plate thickness, varying amplitude ratios, and stiffness support. Outcomes generated by simulation are validated with technique. The applications of such plates are in Aerospace Engineering where weight is of important parameters in consideration with other parameters. Elliptical cutout plates are lighter in weight and maximum stress is developed around cutout to be considered before manufacturing as shown in geometry of plate.
